- Seafire aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm taking off from aircraft carrier positioned off the Italian coast. The Fleet Air Arm played no small part in affording our invasion forces air cover in the Italian landings. The planes are seen landing again on the carrier, the last one nearly crashing but only smashing its propellor.
