Summary
The new Chekka by-pass in the Syrian Mountains, a road, built by Royal Engineers of the 9th Army in 100 days, is ready for its official opening. President of the Lebanese Republic. M Bechara Khoury is greeted by General Holmes GOC 9th Army and the opening ceremony is performed. Shortly after the ceremony for President was suddenly arrested by the French Committee of National Liberation.
