Summary
Lancasters and Halifaxes deliver two thousand tons of bombs in 34 minutes over Magdeburg. Believing that the raid was to be concentrated on Berlin, enemy night fighters were send to defend the capital which was receiving a diversionary raid by Mosquitos, while the heavy bombers altered course to deliver their attack on Magdeburg.
