Summary
Southern France between Nice and Marseilles was invaded by American, British and French troops in August 15th to only light opposition. Film shows invasion barges heading towards and landing on beach. Dakotas tow gliders to support invasion. German soldiers who have surrendered row out to one of the convoy fleet in a rubber dinghy. More landing craft and US troops set up beachhead after no opposition and round up prisoners.
