Summary
Aircraft carriers of the US Naval Fleet protecting the landings of US troops on the Philippines engage in battle with the Japanese. Among the carriers are three carrying proud names, the Lexington, Wasp and Hornet, namesakes of those previously sunk in Pacific action. The USS Princetown is bombed and damaged so badly she had to be sunk by sister ships. On another carrier, damaged Helldiver planes makes spectacular landings. Good night shots of the warships’ guns firing and ships burning.
