Summary
US troops move up through Saarbourg en route to Strasbourg. Savere is over-run as tanks advance Rhinewards. Fighter duels are fought in the skies and pilots are seen baling out from burning planes. US troops enter Mulhouse to an emotional reception by the Alsatians. Refugees carrying French flags return to the town. Strasbourg falls to US and French troops. The city is still being shelled by the enemy from across the Rhine causing many casualties. The German Commander makes his formal surrender.
