- Result of a second army unit ballot where soldiers drew lots to see who would be first to have leave-trip to England. The three winners - Fusilier William Maskell of south Tottenham, Trooper Harold Bennet of Sutton, and Private James Moore of Bristol. They climb aboard a TCV and leave the camp while their friends wave goodbye. They shop for gifts to take with them. Go aboard ship and on journey across Channel. Train pulling into station, crowds on platform, woman shouting, and troops walking through crowds. Boarding buses en route to their homes.
