Summary
The body of the late Franklin D Roosevelt lies in state at the White House from where it is taken to the Roosevelt home in Hyde Park to be buried. His successor President Harry Truman in his first address to Congress as America’s new President defines his policy and asserts that the USA will only consider unconditional surrender from German and Japan.
