MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Melbourne Cup, 1939. DESCRIPTION: Rivette comes through to win Australia’s premier race. SHOTLIST: Various views of the fashion parade before the race. The horses come out headed by "Mosaic", "Catalogue", "Bussalong", "The Trump" and "L’Aiglon". In spite of the riderless "Ortelle Star" the winner is "Rivette" with "Maikai" second and "Pantler" third.
