Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Tour of Scotland. DESCRIPTION: Their Majesties visit the Naval Dockyard and a nearby Aerodrome. At the John Brown Shipyard on Clydeside they are completely surrounded by enthusiastic workers. SHOTLIST: The King visits a dockyard where he meets men of the Polish Submarine "Orze" at another dockyard he holds an investiture. He visits an aerodrome where he sees Wrens and decorates Squadron Leader Farquar. They go to another dock where they meet merchant skippers and men rescued from the Graf Spee. Then they go to St Andrew’s House and are conducted by John Colville. At the Weir engineering works, they are conducted by Lord Weir round the armament plant. At another factory gun-carriages are inspected. Later at John Brown’s Yard they are greeted with unparalleled enthusiasm.
