Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Danube Frozen. DESCRIPTION: The Danube has been frozen up with three to four feet of ice. SHOTLIST: Story One Various shots of ships which have been trapped. Men chip the ice with hatchets and saw it to try and relieve the pressure on the ships. Story Two Men walk on the ice which is snow covered near the portion known as the "Iron Gates". Dynamite is used and soon ships are able to pass between the high sides of the gorge.
