MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: French Fleet Story. DESCRIPTION: To stop the French Fleet falling into Nazi hands a large proportion has come to us, been put out of action or otherwise withheld from Germany. SHOTLIST: Shots from stories CARD 39301 and 39305. These show various vessels among are definitely "Paris" and "Le Triomphant". Shots of Captain Spooner’s visit to the "Montcalm". Shots of the destroyer "Mogador", and the battle-cruisers "Strasbourg" and "Dunkerque". Shot of Winston Churchill with background of sailors mentioned on CARD 39257. Shot of Churchill replaced in original story. French Navy In England - CARD 39301 Shot of the destroyer "Chasseur", "Le Triomphant" and "Mistral". The battleship "Paris" with submarine alongside. British Take Over French Navy - CARD 39305 Shots of the British sailors aboard Le Triomphant and the Paris. French sailors leave their vessels. French fleet shots very good, British sailors take over French ships and submarines.
