MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: LDV’s Patrol Waterways. DESCRIPTION: The River Home Guard has been set up to patrol our Inland Waterways. SHOTLIST: Rear-Admiral Sir Basil Brooke reviews launches as they pass down the river manned with River Home Guard. With him is Vice-Admiral WT James. The rear admiral addresses the men. Sir Basil is accompanied by HM the King and HM Queen Elizabeth and the two Princesses on a trip up the river. Royal Family On The River - CARD 39444 Various shots of the "Windlash". Crowds line the river as the King, Queen and Princesses pass by accompanied by Rear-Admiral Sir Basil Brooke.
