Summary
A lone Lancaster bomber touches down on the famous RAF airfield. It’s a landing which turns memories back 24 years for the men on board. For then they were heroes, the men who flew in similar planes to destroy the Mohne and Eder Dams. They were the Dam Busters. With them, Dr Barnes Wallis, inventor of the ‘bouncing bombs’ which made the raid possible. It was re-union time for those that survived. Pathe News proudly recalls those dangerous and exciting moments with extracts from ‘The Dam Busters’ film which brilliantly reconstructed the raid.
