Summary
Sir Francis Chichester is welcomed to the honoured roll of British Knights of the Sea in a moving and historic ceremony performed by the Queen. On the green lawns of the Royal Naval College, Her Majesty conferred the accolade of Knighthood on the magnificent man of the sea. Then on, into London for the City’s welcome. This was a once-in-a-lifetime scene, a time of heroism rewarded in the ancient tradition of Britain.
