Summary
A massive show of American mobile might. 15,000 GIs and 96 Phantom Jets, plus all their equipment, were airlifted to a spot not far from the Czech border for large-scale manoeuvres. It did little to ease East-West tensions, but showed that in time of need the Yanks would certainly be coming.
