Summary
The Museum of British Transport in the London suburb of Clapham has been earmarked for the axe. About half of its priceless exhibits, will, if a plan takes its course, move to a new centre at York to be built with funds raised by the sale of the Clapham site. There is no room for the London Transport relics. What will happen to them nobody knows. Questions have been asked in the House, several Lords are up in arms and many independent societies are protesting. It’s developing into quite a fight.
