- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Army’s Offensive Spirit (Otherwise Called Invasion Exercises By the Suffolk Regiment). DESCRIPTION: The British Army in training on our beaches, preparing for a landing on some other coast. SHOTLIST: Troops land on the beach. The troops cross the wire and advance firing Bren and Tommy guns from the hip under cover of intense mortar fire. Meanwhile, other units do a little mountaineering with full equipment. A smoke-screen covers the advance. (All this material is excellent especially the mortar fire and wire crossing).
