Summary
Pathe synopsis: France and Italy, once pre-eminent in the manufacture of fine-art jewellery - the quality that comes between the cheap and the very expensive - are now being hotly challenged in this field by England. Inspired by men like Joe Kutchinsky, who has spent 65 years working with precious stones, jewellers are turning out pieces worked in gold of such excellent design and craftsmanship that visitors to this country are today buying their jewellery in London rather than Paris or Milan.
