- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: At an exhibition in London we see something of the progress in the manufacture of typewriters. From a primitive machine of 1896 we move to the most modern, an electric portable model [made by Smith-Corona]. Pressure on the keys of an ordinary machine needs to be about 17 lbs; on this new model pressure required is only 2 ounces - only one of the many incorporated labour-saving devices.
