- Pathe synopsis: This is the largest extravagant American sport to reach Britain. Dragsters can scorch from a standard start to 180 mph in eight seconds flat and thousands watch the first Drag Racing Festival at Blackbushe Airport, Surrey. A trailing parachute takes the place of brakes, but you never bale out of this excitement.
