- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: A wool-gathering girl from the Himalayas - and a sophisticate from London, and what’s the link? The Kashmir Kid from the hills who has never seen a motor car and the cashmere sweater girl from the skyscraper city are, surprisingly, dependent on one another. The one herds goats on the roof of the world and the other wears chic clothes that come from this special goat’s unique, soft underfleece. It takes nearly a year for this cashmere wool to journey down through the remote valley where Pathe Pictorial’s magic carpet takes you, this week, to start its ocean journey to Europe. And life there, as we capture it, is worlds away from the West. Ghostly echoes from the mountains answer the boatmen’s shouts in their strange valley. Demons come dancing down the river with flood, and, in the nearby mountains, the abominable snowman lurks.
