Summary

Pathe synopsis: The expensive elegance of the Riviera. Exotic beauty and - perfume in the air. From Cannes and Monte Carlo we go to Grasse, the little town that makes perfume for the world. Here they mingle the aroma of incense and sandalwood with the essences of the flowers that grow in such wild profusion all around. Traditional skills, ancient and modern machinery are on display. We follow the fascinating stages of the birth of a new perfume as beauty editors from Britain, America, Russia and even from Australia come to a lavish christening party which is an elegant Riviera event.
