Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Army Co-Operation Demonstration. DESCRIPTION: The RAF demonstrate attack methods of our air power. Blenheims laid a smoke-screen, behind which paratroops were dropped and troops landed in gliders. SHOTLIST: This story consists mainly of low dive-bombing attack on tanks with live ammunition. Machines taking part are the 12-gun Hurricanes, 4-Cannon Hurricanes and Bostons. The attacks are made on dummy troops, motor transports, gun positions and tanks, and also a dummy brigade head-quarters. There is also a fly past of German aircraft which included a ME 109 a ME 110 and a Heinkel. Paratroops are seen landing from Whitleys and a smoke-screen is laid by Blenheims. Shots of smoke-screen over crowd and front view of crowd and smoke. There is an inspection of targets after the demonstration. In the second story (1400ft) are shots of Hurricanes attacking various targets with guns and cannon. Medium and close shots of Bostons attacking tanks. Shots of Spitfires diving over spectators. There are various shots of Defiants, Whirlwinds, Beau-fighters, Blenheims, Wellingtons and Stirlings. Medium and close shots of gliders being towed past. Shots of gliders landing and troops getting out and deploying. There is also a shot of a flypast.
