MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Commando Raid (Boulogne). DESCRIPTION: A group of Commandos led by Lord Lovat, made a raid on Boulogne. They managed to cut communication lines and suffered only small casualties. SHOTLIST: This story refers to the Boulogne Raid. The day prior to the raid troops are shown getting ready by scaling a wall, wrestling, boxing, gymnastics, etc. Jumping from wall to the bank. Playing medicine ball. Shots of the Commandos with black faces after the Raid. Also unloading weapons and ammunition. Close-up of officer, this is the men who went ashore wearing carpet slippers. Close-up of Commanding Captain. Shot of officers in a lorry. Close up of Lord Lovat’s Adjutant. Sailors on board boat, prior to sailing. Commandos walking along jetty to embark. There is a pan shot long group of commandos. It will be noticed they are carrying torches. Shot of officers discussing plans and shot of Major Lord Lovat getting the men on parade. Close-up of Lord Lovat. Lord Lovat is seen discussing plans with a group of officers and general shot of officers listening. Finally the men are seen leaving camp and going down to the boat to embark.
