MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New Parachute Tested at Nassau Airport. DESCRIPTION: Testing of a new parachute in America, which is said to open quicker. SHOTLIST: This is the latest in parachutes. It is claimed to have quick opening results owning to the cone funnelling air into the canopy. The inventor. CA Volf assists George Waltz, in putting on his gear for the first public test. The parachute is designed to permit bale-outs from only 75ft. Shots of the actual jump with the parachute opening and this demonstrates that it comes down slower than the regular parachute.
