Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Molotov Arrives in England. DESCRIPTION: Mr Molotov landed somewhere in the northern Britain and travelled by train to a small station outside London where Mr Eden met him. The whole party travelled into London and the Treaty of Alliance was signed at the Foreign Office. SHOTLIST: Scenes at airport, as four engined Russian bomber of unknown type lands. Mr Molotov gets out in a warm flying suit. He is greeted by RAF officials. He inspects the Guard of Honour. He gets back into the plane, changes from his flying suit into civilian clothes. Arrives at the station, goes aboard the train, which crosses Forth Bridge as Mr Molotov has breakfast. Arriving at a station just outside London, he is greeted by Mr Anthony Eden and official of the Foreign Office in London. They drive to London, where a policeman guards the front door of number 10 Downing Street. In the back garden Mr Churchill, Mr Molotov, Mr Eden and other members of the Cabinet walk. There is a good shot of the foreign office (exterior) taken from Green Park which should be remembered (5ft only). Inside, the Treaty is signed by Mr Eden and Mr Molotov with Mr Churchill in attendance. Eden and Molotov, both make a speech.
