MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mass Marriage in China. DESCRIPTION: In Chungking no less than forty-two couples were married in a joint ceremony. SHOTLIST: Crowd shot of congregation, GS of stand showing photo of Dr Sun Yat-Sen at back. Brides & bridegrooms separately walking along line of paper rose-leaves which they step on for luck, shot of their feet. Shot of platform showing couples receiving their marriage certificates & walking of platform arm in arm. Shot of congregation & band, pan to platform where Mayor of Chungking is presenting certificates. Couple walk off platform, congregation bow to them.
