- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: RAF Prepare the Way. DESCRIPTION: Britain has become the biggest aircraft carrier attacking the Axis. Bostons are frequently in operation over Europe, in this film they attack a U-Boat store at Rennes. Flying in low over the French countryside, they use delayed action bombs on their target. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Various shots of Bostons on aerodrome, taxiing & taking off. Various MS; LS of dozens flying over the sea. Aerial shot of French coastline, over Abbeville, bombs falling, aerial shot of earth tremor caused by bombs (very good - first time filmed). Raid on Rennes, Boston, many low over, aerial shot of French coastline travelling shot from nose of plane, over coastline over French territory, flying at tree top height, over target, MS of wing hit with flak, aerial shots of smoke rising from target as evasive action is taken.
