MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of the Breakers. DESCRIPTION: In New South Wales the annual Surf Carnival takes place despite the war. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GS of surf-riding. Various angle shots of slow motion pictures of surf boats, rowing out to sea, then turning and being swept back to the beaches. Cut-in crowds watching through barbed wire. Few shots of boats capsizing, others crashing into one another. Crowds rush along beaches. Winner parading along beaches, various shots, more shots of crowds watching through barbed wire.
