- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Thanksgiving Day. DESCRIPTION: For the second year Westminster Abbey was the scene of America’s Thanksgiving Day Service. There was also a big celebration in Boston, Lincolnshire with the Archbishop of Canterbury leading the service in St Botolph’s Church. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Gs of Westminster Abbey Towers, also Stars & Stripes & Union Jack flying together. Pan down to entrance American soldiers & officers leaving Abbey, saluting flags as they pass. Tracking shot of band & procession, through streets of Boston, GS of American troops marching through street. Elevated shot of Archbishop of Canterbury in procession, pan to GS of St Botolph’s Church, procession entering church, interior shot of church, & pan up interior of tower (stump). Various shots of congregation & choir singing, etc. GS of packed church.
