MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Two Thousand Tons. DESCRIPTION: Film taken by RAF cameramen of the night raid on Magdeburg, where two thousand tons fell in thirty-four minutes. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Shots of Lancasters, engines running preparing to take off, & control tower fore, Lancasters take off. Above is Library material taken from CARD 43116 Genoa Raid. Night aerial shots of above city, well alight, flares falling, rocket guns firing at our planes, flak in skies, 4.000lb bomb falling. Still of same. Finishing on aerial shots of Magdeburg still very much alight.
