- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Air Blows By Night and Day. DESCRIPTION: Bomber Command recently made a heavy night attack on Schweinfurt, which had followed the day raid made by the US 8th Army Air Force. In daylight the RAF has been hammering the Pas de Calais. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Interior shots show Allied Expeditionary Air Force at HQ Sir R Hill seated on left, standing by map in background is Leigh-Mallory & Major General Butler, panning to left is Wigglesworth & Strickland, then Coningham & Brereton. The preceding are close-ups. Several angle shots of above group seated at table. Over Schweinfurt, night shots (aerial) of target burning, explosions, incendiaries falling, fires increase & spread. Daylight attack on Pas de Calais. Aerial LS of planes in flight. GV of Boston, Mitchell, & also a Spitfire. Aerial shots of coast, & airfield. Bombs falling & hits registering on airfield, which is already badly hit.
