MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Through the Gustav Line and Beyond. DESCRIPTION: News from Italy is still very good, with the captured of San Angelo and Castelforte. French forces too have done terrific work in the advances. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS, GV San Angelo - ruins. AFU British troops march along road near Gustav Line. Various shots of ruins of San Angelo, troops take cover in ruins, sniping. Knocked out German tank, various, French Officer inspects one. Various shots of Sherman tanks advancing, along roads, fields etc. GV Ruins in town of Castelforte, also MLS of town. Shot of Castelforte as seen through hole in wall. Line of French soldiers, in the rear an American marches along road, out of camera. GS French troops marching through Castelforte, background ruins. MS of mules in convoy, making their way to summit of hill. Various angle shots. German prisoners brought in by French. French soldiers stopped in roadway, hold up a Swastika flag, drop same on ground & jump on it. German prisoners march along road, carry their own wounded & stretcher cases, ruins in background. Shots of German prisoners. CU types of German prisoners, youngest 18 years old. GS of Germans being de-loused. Two POW shake hands.
