MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: King at Portsmouth. DESCRIPTION: The King has recently visited Portsmouth where he made a comprehensive tour of inspection of naval activities, past and present. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. King arrives in car, passes "Victory". King inspects Wren officers, & Royal Marines, background. "Victory" King (interior) in plotting room, shows positions of ships etc., this is on the quarter deck. King leaves "Victory". Various shots of marchpast, which includes sailors, Marines, & Wrens; also in the band are Wren drummers. Cut-ins of King saluting from base. CU legs & feet of sailors as they march past.
