- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Martyrdom of Oradour. DESCRIPTION: Nearly the whole population of the small French town of Oradour Sur Glane was wiped out by Germans on the 10th June 1944. The men were shot and the women and children machine gunned in the church, some were burnt alive. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Pan of Oradour-sur-Glane, France. CU signpost of the above. Various shots of completely ruined village, this being done by the Germans, all population were shot, one who escaped shows couple of Allies over remains of village. Interior shot of ruined church. GV of window of church. Various angle shots of French civilians at the graves of the dead. Flowers placed on graves.
