- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Stand Down - Official. DESCRIPTION: Sunday the 3rd December saw the Home Guard parading for the last time. In London they marched to Hyde Park where the King took the salute. That same evening there was a large gathering at the Royal Albert Hall. SHOTLIST: Home Guard marching through streets, Piccadilly, Hyde Park accompanied by several bands. Various shots into and out of camera. Royal Family arrive and alight from car. King takes salute at marchpast. Shots of amateur cameraman taking shots. Albert Hall - Interior shots of packed hall. Stage turns: George Robey and Violet Loraine singing "If you were the only girl in the world", audience also singing. Pan of hall as King’s speech comes over the air. Tommy Trinder cracks a few jokes and then sings. Leslie Mitchell (in Home Guard Uniform) walks onto stage thanks Trinder (silent) - audience sing ‘Lily of Lagoona’.
