- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: French Battle for Colmar. DESCRIPTION: A despatch from Movietone’s cameraman, George Mejat, shows Frenchmen in American uniforms attacking the village of Wittenheim. Near Kingersheim, Mejat recorded Red Cross stretcher bearers working under fire to bring in wounded. SHOTLIST: Cut story - French infantry in American uniforms march through street, near village of Wittenheim, past signpost "Colmar". French advance, attacking in open fields. Ambulances driven by French girls in front-line, wounded assisted into same. Red Cross Male Nurses carry wounded off battlefields, in & around town of Kingersheim. French population return through streets, eating in streets, various shots of them including shot of group looking up at sky.
