- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British-Russian Link-Up. DESCRIPTION: Men of General Dempsey’s army lined up with men of the Red Army near the German town of Wismar. The scenes were recorded by Paul Wyand of Movietone who received a special welcome from the Russians. SHOTLIST: Russian Tank loaded with troops along road into camera. SCU same. Troops of the British 6th Airborne Division & Russian troops shaking hands, greeting etc. talking in Russian & English "we can’t understand each others language, but we both mean the same". Various of both mingling. GV Paul Wyand shaking hands & embracing a Russian soldier.
