- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Aircraft Display. DESCRIPTION: The Air Transport Auxiliary Air Pageant was held at White Waltham, Maidenhead. At Heston new types of Fleet Air Arm aircraft were on display. They included the "Spearfish", "Firebrand", "Seafire III", "Sea Hornet" and "Vampire". SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS. White Waltham - GV Lancaster, camera truck backs away from same and pans aerodrome. Planes on aerodromes on show include Stirlings, Spitfires, Halifaxes, etc. This is to commemorate the end of Air Transport Auxiliary. Autogyro in flight, also helicopter in flight and landing. At Heston - GVs of the Spearfish, five-bladed machine, engine starts, taxies and takes off, flies out of camera. Various shots "Firebrand" torpedo-fighter, taxies and takes off, and in flight. Various angle shots of the "Seafire", taxiing and taking-off, also in flight. The "Sea Hornet" with wings folding and unfolding. Same in flight. The "Vampire" taxies, takes off, and flying very low gives good impression of speed. Sailors on aerodrome watch performance of aircraft.
