- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Vips in Town. DESCRIPTION: Winston Churchill arrives at Hendon looking as though he has benefitted from his holiday. An hour before Mr Churchill’s arrival the Duke of Windsor has flown in from Paris. The Duke then went to stay at Marlborough House, where he and Queen Mary posed for the Press in the garden. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Dakota taxies across Hendon aerodrome. Mrs Churchill followed by Mr Churchill alights from plane (Mr Churchill in Army uniform). Greeted by various people. Helped on with his overcoat. SCU Churchill, crowds behind him. Mrs and Mr Churchill enter car. Dakota taxies, Duke of Windsor alights, greeted by various people. SCU Duke of Windsor, crowds behind him. Enters car, car drives off. Arriving at Marlborough House, drives through crowds, who break police cordon. Crowds outside rear entrance of Marlborough House. Inside grounds Queen Mary and Duke of Windsor walk out into grounds, SCU & CU of both.
