- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Party Dresses for ATS. DESCRIPTION: ATS girls in Germany were allowed to wear ‘civvies’ for the Christmas and New Year festivities. SHOTLIST: KS Two ATS lean over open bonnet of car. Same two girls still leaning over car servicing same, first says "are you wearing civvies at tonight’s dance", second girl, "Yes, they arrived from home this morning". Interior - Girls unpacking parcels, hold up dresses and underclothes. Girl putting stocking on. GV four girls trying on dresses etc. The girls are Josephine Morton, Melina Cousins, Joyce Bowerman and Corporal Barbara Perry. Two dressed for dance with Army coats over same, leave billets, met by two Canadian soldiers, all run to Army truck. CU pan of the four girls in evening dress, mix to same in Army dress, pan of same. Two ATS again servicing car, first says "Did you enjoy the dance?", second girl "yes and it was marvellous being in civvies again".
