MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Brooklands Finished With Racing. DESCRIPTION: Vickers have bought Brooklands and the track will no longer be used for racing. We look back to the days when Brooklands was thronged with enthusiasts and cars roared round the track. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated shot of Brooklands camouflaged. Trucking shot round track shows hangars across track, camouflage trees, scrubs, houses etc. also on the banking. Library flash back to days of racing, cars speeding round the track, enthusiasts walk around, cars speed on skidding, admirers in look on. Earl Howe, SCU & CU of him says, "drivers could be told to speed round the track for one, two or three hours at a time without taking their foot off, this was an asset to the manufacturers, but now they will have to test cars on the public highway which is a danger to the public". Library cut-ins of cars speeding round the track in the good old days. Pan of banking. Pan of same banking as it is today, covered with camouflage, trees etc. Finish on elevated shot of Brooklands, which has now been taken over by Vickers-Armstrong.
