Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Thank You, Australia. DESCRIPTION: The Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations met in Ottawa last October to plan production and distribution. Australia has heard about the food crisis in Britain and is rallying to her aid. SHOTLIST: KS. Food and Agriculture Organisation meet in Ottawa, interior GV (comparison) of rations in Australia and England, placed side by side. CU egg ration. CU butter ration. CU meat ration of both countries. Wheat goes along conveyors. Carcasses of meat pass through warehouse on overhead conveyor. Unloading bags of sugar in factory. Rounds of cheese being cup up. Processed cheese being packed into packets by machine. Bottles being filled with tomato sauce. Jam being made and passing along to next stage. Tins of jam being stacked in warehouse. Stores of sugar, tons of it. Lorries loaded with food with signs on side read "Gift of Food for Britain". SCU and CU can with same slogan on it. Loading cases onto ships at docks, includes an aircraft carrier. English children return to their own country, shots of British Legion and war widows marching past Cenotaph at last Armistice Service.
