MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Open Golf Champion - Sam Snead. DESCRIPTION: Sam Snead from Virginia takes the British Open title triumphing over Dai Rees and Johnny Bulla. SHOTLIST: KS GV clubhouse. CU & MS Henry Cotton putting and missing. CU Bobby Locke putting, cut-in crowds following golfers. Cotton drives off in afternoon. MS Dai Rees putting and Johnny Bulla (USA) putting. Sam Snead putting. Locke putting at 17th hole. Cotton finishes, walks off course looking very depressed. Bulla at 17th green. Rees driving and putting at 18th hole. Sam Snead driving to 18th hole and putting to win championship. Snead receives cup and makes short speech, applause from crowd. CU Snead.
