MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of Britain Sixth Anniversary. DESCRIPTION: The Anniversary of the Battle of Britain was marked by a fly-past over London and a service in the Chapel of Remembrance at Biggin Hill. SHOTLIST: KS GV Tower Bridge. Lancasters fly over Tower Bridge. Mosquitos and Spitfires fly over London, Tower Bridge, Houses of Parliament etc. Various shots of formations flying overhead. Interior - Chapel of Remembrance, Biggin Hill, Reverend Cecil Hill conducts service, cut-ins of congregations praying etc. CU Reverend Hill giving sermon. CU altar. At Albert Embankment. GV of RAF memorial. CU Eagle on top and pan down to base. Arrival of Mr Attlee, Lord Portal, Viscounts Trenchard and Tedder. Cut-in RAF Guard of Honour, Trenchard unveils inscription at base of memorial. Marchpast of RAF contingents, WAAF’s and RAF association contingents. Trenchard takes salute. Relations, relatives etc. place small floral tokens on memorial after service.
