- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Queen Mary Arrives at Southampton. DESCRIPTION: The famous liner has set a new unofficial record for the Atlantic crossing. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS GV Queen Mary. SS Queen Mary approaches dock passing SS Queen Elizabeth. Aboard ship Queen Mary, General Eisenhower with his wife and son Captain John Eisenhower, several shots of them posing for cameraman, Ike and his wife having come over on the QM met by their son. Also aboard were the Goldwyn Girls - mannequins, several shots of them with the English mannequins seated on ships rail. SCU pan of the American mannequins. MS QM and the Queen Elizabeth docked at Southampton (first time). Aerial shots of both ships. The Queen Mary had crossed the Atlantic in 3 days, 15 hours, 48 mins. NB Queen Mary is still in wartime grey.
