MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: London Hotel Strikes. DESCRIPTION: Hotel workers in London are on strike to demand the recognition of the Union - The General Municipal Workers’ Union. SHOTLIST: KS Trucking shot along Strand, passing the Savoy. Crowds (staff) listen to speeches and address given by Mr Arthur Lewis MP for West Ham. SCU of him speaking to staffs. Various shots of London hotels, Dorchester, Ritz, Savoy, Ritz Restaurant. Pickets marching up and down outside London hotels. Chefs etc. in groups outside hotels conversing (silent).
