- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Chelsea Arts Ball 1947. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Albert Hall is the venue for the Chelsea Arts Ball for the first time since 1938. Revellers in fancy dress greeted 1947. SHOTLIST: KS CU & tilt down of tableau in centre of dance floor. Various shots of couples dancing, all in fancy dress. Cut-ins of types dancing. CU band leader. Back view of band playing with dancing couples in background. Various tilt down shots of balloons falling to the floor from the ceiling, crowds rush for same. Several shots of the boxes, showing people drinking, toasting etc. Floats etc. paraded round the floor, hauled by students. Students breaking up the models, floats etc. Elevated shots of dancing continuing. Crowds dancing to Auld Lang Syne.
