Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Christens Elizabeth of England. DESCRIPTION: At London Airport Princess Elizabeth christened the new flagship of BOAC’s long range air fleet. SHOTLIST: MS Elizabeth of England, which is a BOAC Speedbird aircraft. Princess Elizabeth alights from car. Greeted by Lord Knollys. The two walk towards Tudor I plane, enter same. On alighting Princess is handed a bouquet by a child. Princess Elizabeth and Lord Knollys on dais. Lord Knollys addresses thanking her for coming etc. Princess replies christens Tudor I Elizabeth of England, cut-in of flag falling away from name of plane on cockpit. Princess pours champagne from jug onto plane during christening. CU Name of plane, also cut-ins of crowd listening to Princess addressing them.
